Balanced Income Portfolio
The main objective of the Balanced Income program is to secure income with moderate risk. This program’s first priority is to seek income, with capital appreciation as a secondary consideration. It invests primarily in bonds and dividend paying common stocks, but may also invest in convertibles, preferred stocks, and other securities. The portfolio may hedge in an attempt to reduce market or interest rate risk. The assets in the Balanced Income portfolio will be divided into a combination of two major classes: equity and debt securities. The amount of weight designated to each asset class will depend upon market conditions. It is worth noting that KPP principals are also invested in this program and that they practice “Parallel Investing” meaning their assets are invested in the same equities as their clients.
